This training is for all Secondary and Primary newly designated SLEs and is a requirement before they are deployed. Training will be facilitated by experienced, practicing SLEs within the Diamond Teaching School.
The core training day is designed to develop the skills, qualities and understanding required for an effective SLE. It provides an introduction to school-to-school support and the role of the Specialist Leader of Education (SLE). It provides SLEs with essential information about the role and will equip them with the tools and techniques for effective school-to-school support. It also provides an opportunity to meet other SLEs.
Once successfully completed, SLEs can be deployed by their Teaching Schools in school-to-school support.

- To appreciate the importance of an emotionally intelligent SLE
- To build a toolkit of skills to become an effective SLE
- To prepare SLEs for deployment
Location of this course
The Diamond Training centre is an established educational training facility based at Winhills Primary Academy in St Neots. Situated off the A428 near the A1, our bespoke training room provides excellent IT facilities and WiFi. Refreshments are included.
